In recent weeks we have finally managed to get out of Mwanza and see some of the more rural parts.

Last weekend we travelled out to Igombe with the school as part of the boarders weekend away.  Igombe is a village north of Mwanza on Lake Victoria. This weekend we went on a staff walk up into the hillside communities overlooking Mwanza. Both gave us a glimpse of a more simple lifestyle.  I imagine true rural life in Tanzania many miles from the nearest town is even less developed than these communities but here though not far from Mwanza has given us the change to see life out of town.
