Great post!
After over 13 years at The Open University, today I walked the familiar route for the last time. It felt like any normal day yet, also strange because I won’t walking this route to work again after today.
Here is my daily journey:
I’ve worked with a really fantastic group of people and I shall really miss them. It’s strange to think that all of the aspects of my work as a Research Degrees Advisor for the past 10 years, won’t be my responsibility after today. One of my colleagues, arranged for a huge cake and another, knowing my love of sambuka, brought in a tipple for me – a lovely surprise.
Today was also the last practice with the Woburn Sands Band, which I’ve very much enjoyed being a part of. Friday nights will no longer be the same and I will really miss all the people and playing with…
