love, love, LOVE anything in the thistle family. Unlike so many plants they make a statement at every stage from pre to post bloom.

I have them in my garden – although I know them as sea holly – Is that just another name for them?

Definitely globe thistle – we used to have sea holly – it’s a little different. Check out “sea holly” on Google.
